Dualization of Bidbid-Sur Road, Section 1, Package 1A - Construction of 40.80 Km dual three lane carriageway and around 25.6 Km of service roads, cross roads, ramps and loops. Works included 4 High Bridges (balanced cantilever), 4 Wadi bridges, 3 underpasses and 3 interchange Arch Bridges ( all I-girders), Excavation of rock masses in high cuts. Execution of cut slope protection works (fiber shotecrete, steel reinforced shotcrete, rock anchors and rock bolts, wire netting, berm lining etc.). Execution of high embankment (up to 85 m high) including cemented hard fill, rock soil and rock fill, Execution of 97 box culverts, Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) Walls up to 20 m height. Roadworks including PMB asphalt pavement, street lighting, traffic signs, road marking, concrete and steel barriers and miscellaneous road finishing works. Coordinate all inspections for reinforcement checking, concrete testing (slump and air content) and compaction testing at different road construction layers; monitor the required tests and record inspections and tests made as per the Contract Plan and Contract Specifications. Liaise with Client's representatives to conduct day-to-day quality related project activities and work performance. Ensure that Non-Conformance Report (NCR) is raised once the activities deviated from the Contract Specifications or normal construction industry practices. Coordinate with the project team to compile and maintained pertinent records of inspection and testing, document controls of technical submittals, drawings, etc.
Call-Off Consultancy Services to provide Professional Road Safety Engineering, Road Design, Quantity Surveying Consultancy and Construction Supervision Services to Ashghal’s Assets Affairs – Roads Operations & Maintenance Department of the Public Works Authority, Qatar. As a member of the Supervision & Design team, offered technical advice on project relevant matters as per site conditions. Liaised with client utilities provider, contractors and other stake holders. Assisted in the preparation of periodic reports. Acted as a point of contact for the construction supervision aspects, including collecting design data from site, progress reporting, safety, financial recommendations, quality control and design modifications. Contributed to the safety and build-ability reviews of the proposed designs. Monitored progress of construction against the program, and takes steps to ensure the program is achieved. Assisted the Project Manager with the planning and coordination of activities for the effective management, control and reporting of the construction supervision of the projects.
