Lead for Aluminium and Cement portfolios in the office of High Level Climate Action Champion. Developed the first sectoral “pathways” for aluminum and cement sector decarbonization in 2020. Established the “Cement Decarbonization Group”, a group of key global organization advancing the decarbonization efforts in the cement sector. Established and run the “Africa Net Zero Concrete Leadership Group” and a similar group in the UAE. Initiated and ensured the successful launch (incl. version 2.0) of the “Green Cement Technology Tracker”, a first accountability and transparency mechanism in the industry. Initiated capacity building efforts within the Top 5 cement companies, in coordination with GCCA. Working with Business Networks such as: BusinessEurope, Global Cement Association GCCA, Intl. Council for Metals & Mining ICMM, Intl.Aluminium Institute IAI; as well as individual companies as frontrunners on industry decarbonization: like Holcim, Heidelberg, CEMEX, Dalmia; or mining companies such as Anglo, Fortescue or Vale.
