I moved from Shanghai, China, to Melbourne, Australia, with my family when I was 13. Now I'm 26 years old and have just graduated from Deakin University. I have registered level 1 membership with Australian Counselling Association (ACA). Spending my childhood in China and growing up in Australia has given me the ability to understand both Eastern and Western ways of thinking and cultures. This unique experience also lets me speak and write English and Mandarin fluently. I'm passionate about mental health counselling, and helping people in need feel better about themselves is always my motivation. I'm always empathetic and willing to listen. During my time at university, I did a lot of practice counselling sessions with other students and tutors. I enjoyed it a lot and figured out that counselling is the career I want to pursue.
