My name is Hao Xie, a biochemist based in Germany. I am dedicated to propelling scientific discovery and impactful research. Having earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Goethe University and the Max Planck Institute of Biophysics Frankfurt, I possess a robust foundation in protein biochemistry, biophysics, and structural biology. My educational background also includes a Master's degree in Cell Biology with distinction and a Bachelor's degree in Cell Biology, both from the University of Osnabrück. My professional journey includes serving in various capacities at the Max Planck Institute of Biophysics, such as Post-Doctoral Research Fellow and Research Project Leader. These experiences have honed my research and teaching skills, enabling me to become proficient in diverse research methods, including biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, structural biology and enzymology. My contributions to pioneering research in areas such as the structure and function of membrane proteins, bacterial antibiotic resistance, quorum sensing, and photosynthesis have been published in numerous esteemed international academic journals. Currently, I am seeking a senior scientist or project leader position within a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company.
