• Evaluate and treat patients with various injuries on an occupational basis including but not limited to lacerations, corneal abrasion, head injuries, motor vehicle accidents, burns, dislocations and fractures. • Diagnose and treat patients with various diseases and disorders in the urgent care and primary care settings • Perform suturing, stapling, applying steri-strips, nail removal, nail trephination, splinting, wound care and dressing, and incision and drainage. • Determine if patient requires higher level of care for further evaluation of suspected sepsis, brain hemorrhage, stroke, myocardial infarction, embolisms. • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing, prescribe appropriate medications, determine appropriate course of treatment and refer patients to proper specialists. • Counsel patients on health management and illness prevention. • Perform DOT, pre-employment exams, and pre-op evaluations. • Maintain timely and accurate documentation on NextGen EMR.

Assist during hysterectomies, polypectomies, endometrial biopsies, colposcopies, dilation and curettage, and cesarean sections. Perform multiple pelvic exams, breast exams, rectal exams, UA, FIT tests, wet mount and microscopy, STD testing, catheter insertions and pap smears. Assist in IUD and pessary insertions and removal. Use Cerner EMR system and dictation system to document progress and operative notes.
Obtain patient history and perform physical exam. Determine appropriate diagnostic tests to be done. Assist in performing and interpreting diagnostic tests. Manage patients’ multiple acute and chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, CHF, COPD, UTI, and assist with appropriate referrals. Perform steroid joint injections.
