Professor Hans Wolff is head of the Division of Prison Health and Director of the Department of Community Health and Primary Care at the Geneva University Hospitals. He is the president of the Conference of Swiss Prison Doctors (CSPD) and former vice-president of the Council of Europe's Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT). His main professional interests are related to the Human Rights of vulnerable populations in relation to social inequalities in health, access to healthcare and medical ethics. In particular, he works on substance abuse, preventive measures and harm reduction, as well as infectious diseases or mental health in detention and related to migration. His international research and consultancy expertise included working for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC), the World Health Organization (WHO), the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA), the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and others.
