Nederlands: Hans van Meerten (1974) heeft jarenlange ervaring met het bijstaan van cliënten op pensioen, financieel en EU-recht gebied. Hans staat zowel werknemers, zelfstandigen, werkgevers, gepensioneerden, ondernemingsraden, pensioenuitvoerders en vermogensbeheerders bij. De aanpak van Hans kenmerkt zich door het onderliggende EU-recht kader naar boven te halen en te bezien of de Nederlandse regelgeving wel daarmee in overeenstemming is. Veel – zo niet alle – vraagstukken hebben inmiddels een Europese oorsprong. Daarnaast geeft Hans vele presentaties en lezingen in binnen- en buitenland op bovengenoemde gebieden. Hans is naast advocaat ook visiting (CUPL) en 'Honorary' professor Internationaal pensioenrecht en begeleidt meerdere AIO's en studenten met wetenschappelijk onderzoek. Aan de Universiteit Utrecht was hij 10 jaar bijzonder hoogleraar. English: Hans van Meerten, (1974) is a part time visiting/honorary professor Pension Law and a Dutch bar admitted lawyer. He deals with EU and Dutch Pension - and Financial Law. Hans has extensive knowledge of pension and financial law, and the various aspects of EU-legislation and processes. One of his special areas of expertise is the EU legislation regarding pensions and the cross-border activities of financial institutions. He focusses mainly on the IORP II and the PEPP. Hans wrote and invented as a civil servant the legislation regarding the Dutch DC IORP, the Premium Pension Institution (PPI). He was also involved in the Brussels negotiations on the Services Directive, the IORP I, the Solvency II Directive and the EU Treaty negotiations of Nice and the European Constitution. From September 2018 to 2024 he was a member of the OPSG of EIOPA where he dealt with various pension and financial issues. Besides the supervision of (Ph.D). students, Hans publishes regularly in (inter-) national journals on EU Law, retirement, financial legislation and supervision. He and his team currently perform studies on consumer law vis-a-vis pension products, the PEPP and the IORP II. He is also part of the 'Financial Law Hub' of Sdu publishers. This program (the 111 Plan) is jointly launched by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MOHRSS) of the People's Republic of China . It runs from 2025-2029. In this program we will contribute to a new pension system for China.
