I work at the intersection of agri-food systems, innovation and cross-sector collaboration, focusing on how new technologies and partnerships can accelerate the transformation of sustainable value chains. With a background in Agricultural Sciences, I started my career in political consulting with a focus on agriculture, environment and climate policy, gaining insight into how regulatory frameworks influence sector transformation. I later moved into economic development, supporting innovation and network building as Deputy Managing Director of a regional agri-food organization in Lower Saxony. My work focused on strengthening value chains and advancing emerging innovation fields such as alternative proteins. Today, as Managing Director of RootCamp in Hannover, I focus on building innovation ecosystems that connect startups, industry partners and key stakeholders. The goal is to translate innovation into real-world applications and strengthen collaboration across AgriFood, bioeconomy and sustainable value chains. At the European level, I contribute as a member of the EU CAP Network Focus Group on new plant-based protein sources. I am particularly interested in partnerships that turn new ideas and technologies into scalable solutions for the future of our agri-food systems.
As Managing Director, I am responsible for the strategic development and overall leadership of RootCamp. My focus lies on strengthening the innovation ecosystem by connecting startups, industry and institutional partners and enabling innovation along entire value chains. Key areas of focus include: • Strategic development and positioning of RootCamp as an innovation hub for AgriFood and bioeconomy • Building partnerships between startups, corporates and ecosystem stakeholders • Developing innovation programs and cross industry collaboration formats • Expanding international networks and strengthening startup engagement • Driving innovation that supports resilient and sustainable value chains From the farm to high tech transformation.
