Position: Community Support Coordinator - Broward UP Pipeline 5 Projects Key Responsibilities: Volunteer & Staff Oversight: Guide, train, and oversee both volunteers and AmeriCorps staff, acting as the central point of contact connecting the college, the community, and target schools. Project Management & Strategy: Design, implement, and coordinate work plans, ensuring that grant contract deliverables are met. Undertake strategic planning, lead analyses, and initiate program improvements based on outcomes. Lead Coordinator for Pipeline 5: Take charge of all aspects related to Pipeline 5 projects, from communicating with stakeholders to managing volunteer hours, including those of Broward College's personnel. Program Support: Engage in activities that bolster academic success, employability training, health education, and community service-learning. Community Liaison: Foster strong ties between Broward College and community partners, emphasizing the enhancement of student and parent experiences to boost retention and completion rates. Data Management & Reporting: Oversee systems that collate and disseminate information about grant-related ventures. Use performance metrics and data insights to provide feedback and recommendations. Site Visits & Monitoring: Regularly visit community partner sites to evaluate progress against program objectives. Budgetary & Program Reporting: Compile and present quarterly budget and programmatic analyses. Additional Responsibilities: Undertake any other related tasks as required.
• Directly assist and assist Broward UP participants and neighborhood citizens. • Assist with the enrollment of Broward UP participants in noncredit, credit, workshop/programs, and community. • Advise Broward UP participants in a revolutionary, individualized manner. • Assist Broward UP participants in their pursuit of higher education and professional readiness. • Collaborate with community partners such as the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County, The Crockett Foundation, Flite Center, Career Source Broward, FCC USA, Father's Purpose, the City of Pompano Beach, and the YMCA, as Broward UP expands and impacts more of Broward County. • Assembled as a member of the Broward UP community engagement team. The goal of this work, which requires minimum supervision, is to collect, examine, and assess applications, transcripts, and other related documentation for compliance with admissions requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing and organizing marketing and recruitment efforts, as well as assisting and advising students during the Admissions and Registration procedures. Additionally, I represent Broward College during on-campus recruitment by giving information that helps prospective students get more familiar with the college. • Daily -Advising and processing students regarding admissions requirements/procedures, program information, and student services, with the goal of facilitating enrollment and retention. • Daily –Processing numerous registration operations such as removing holds, acquiring required documentation for student records, and processing exemptions/overrides, among others, to ensure a seamless registration process. • Daily -: Providing information to students and parents about the assigned campus in order to analyze and enhance college recruitment methods. • Daily - Responds to queries and investigates/resolves difficulties relating to departmental transactions; gives advice and direction on the implementation of admissions rules, processes, and documents by telephone and in person. • On an annual basis – I am responsible for liaising with various departments and operating units to resolve day-to-day administrative and operational issues. • Daily – I organize and disseminate accurate correspondence and material to potential students in order to keep the community aware of changes. • Weekly – I provide administrative support, which includes expediting and coordinating incoming and outgoing material pertaining to admissions policies and procedures.
• Increased protective and resilience qualities in children through enhancing their social and life skills, peer resistance, and communication abilities. • Participated in the evaluation of the state's Strengthening Families program and other quality improvement activities. • Established ties with other professionals in early childhood care and education, child welfare, and economic development to exchange information about Strengthening Families. • Reviewed and analyzed departmental staff-prepared proposals for contracts, federal and state grants, professional service agreements, and leases. • Oversaw the work of subordinate professional, administrative, specialized, and clerical personnel engaged in various operations, including grant management for the Boy and Girls Club of Broward County. • Authorized budget charges created per approved or changed budgets; was accountable for ensuring various divisions stayed within the program's budget allotment. • Assisted in the recruitment, selection, and retention of all participants by planning, organizing, and delivering group workshops, arranging and supervising participants' attendance at program activities, and assisting in the recruitment, selection, and retention of all participants. • Responsible for collecting and documenting accurate data on student report cards and standardized test scores. Prepares interim and annual performance reports detailing the project's status. • Coordinated and led one-on-one and group tutoring/instruction, study and test-taking skills workshops, ACT/SAT and college prep courses, academic advising, and collaborative learning activities; all activities aimed at promoting secondary education completion and admission to completion, postsecondary education.
