Electrical engineer with a PhD in high-speed analog and mixed signal IC design for optical networks. After working 5 years at imec as an analog/mixed signal IC designer and researcher, I decided to gain more experience in software development, by joining Nokia as an R&D software engineer in the fixed networks business unit and afterwards Bricsys as a senior software engineer. Involved in the development of makerstud.io: - Front-end development in Typescript and React - C++ and Python algorithm development for embroidery machine path generation - Integration of machine path algorithms in back-end At Fablab Factory I try to focus on the most computationally intensive and mathematically difficult problems involved in the development of the makerstud.io product. e.g. for embroidery stitch pattern/path generation from a vector drawing, I developed a complex custom algorithm involving computational geometry, optimization and graph theory.

As lead high-speed analog/mixed signal IC designer in the IDLab design team, I was responsible for the planning, design and follow up of team members for various chips from concept and specifications to finished chip and testing.
