The Paris 1.5° goal requires large scale negative emissions (aka carbon removals) - in addition to relentless efforts for emission reductions. At Carbonfuture, we provide the infrastructure and processes to track, verify and finance carbon removal. I am fascinated by the versatility of biochar both as a material and as a carbon removal approach. Biochar Carbon Removal (BCR) will be a key solution to climate change mitigation and adaption. At Carbonfuture, we are dedicated to support the growth of the biochar industry globally, including the establishment of rigorous carbon (removal) accounting standards. Before founding carbonfuture, I worked in banking, audit and consulting in trading, ESG risk, risk appetite, market risk, derivatives valuation, credit risk and counterparty credit risk.
