Currently I work as a Safety Engineer at the company Vinçotte. My current expertise lies in: • Performing the coordination and realization conformity towards ATEX114 (Notified Body) and machinery directives. • Risk assessment (HAZOP-LOPA) • ignition source analysis (mechanical and electrical) • assistance within the context of the ATEX and Machine Directive • machinery inspections and measurements related to explosion safety (thermal and electrical) • calculation of functional safety levels, ventilation and Ex “i” loops, % explosive matter • elaboration of explosion protection documents and hazardous area classification (ATEX 153). • leading multidisciplinary project teams • contract management, experience in client-focused solutions
In 2013 I join the COMOC research group located in Ghent, Belgium. The main focus of the research group is the development of new micro and mesoporous materials and their application in heterogeneous catalysis, as adsorbents and biomedical systems. My research was focused on the synthesis and characterization of new mixed-metal hybrid materials and the evaluation of the catalytic and gas adsorption properties.
