As a Design Assistant supporting both interior and architectural projects, I collaborate closely with senior designers and architects across all phases of the design process, from concept development to final presentation. Key responsibilities include: • Assisting in space planning, mood boards, and material selections • Producing drawings, layouts, and 3D visuals using software like (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit) • Researching suppliers, materials, and design trends • Preparing presentation decks and documentation for clients • Supporting site visits, installations, and project coordination I work in a fast-paced, detail-focused environment where creativity, precision, and communication are key. At Knots Rugs, I managed the day-to-day operations of a busy, high-end rug design studio, supporting both bespoke client commissions and in-house collections. My role combined creative leadership with operational oversight, including: • Overseeing design development from concept to final production • Managing client custom orders and ensuring design accuracy for weaving • Liaising with international suppliers, artisans, and production teams • Coordinating timelines and workflows across design, sales, and logistics • Curating showroom displays and supporting trade shows & exhibitions I worked closely with designers, clients, and weavers to ensure each rug told a story, balancing aesthetic ambition with technical precision. This role sharpened my eye for detail, strengthened my project management skills, and deepened my understanding of handmade luxury textiles.
Managed and delivered high-end events for Cubitt House, a luxury pub group across West London, based at the Belgravia location. The role involved planning and executing bespoke events for private clients, brands, and corporate hosts, with a strong emphasis on guest experience, spatial atmosphere, and detail-led presentation. Worked directly with UHNW and private clients, overseeing budgets, suppliers, and on-site delivery, while maintaining discretion, brand standards, and a consistently high level of service within a luxury hospitality setting.
