London Area, United Kingdom
I qualified from Dental School (Egypt) in 2009 and worked in private practice there for 3 years. I later studied for the UK statutory exams (Overseas Registration Exam-ORE) which I successfully passed in September 2015. My journey in the UK began in secondary care, working as a clinical fellow in the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Kings College Hospital and Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup. It was there that I learnt to master my oral surgery skills, this included: surgical extractions of teeth and how to successfully treat facial abscesses. Working in A+E and being on call allowed me to effectively communicate with multiple departments simultaneously as well as treat an array of conditions involving the head and neck. I have since completed my Vocational Training by Equivalence in Rye, East Sussex in October 2018. Currently, I work as an associate dentist in Oxford and completed the Aesthetic and Restorative one year course taught by world renowned Chris Orr (September 2019). Having worked in the NHS and private healthcare it has left me well equipped to understand the needs of most patients. I particularly enjoy treating anxious patients- and it thrills me to say that the majority are now regular attendees. My interests lie in preventive and restorative dentistry. I also have a growing interest in short term orthodontics and a more functional approach to dentistry. Outside of dentistry my interests are architecture and design, baking, photography, travelling and learning about different cultures.
