Mr. Hammad Shah has a track record of creating value through asset management, entrepreneurial strategies, and re-positioning of upscale residential and hotel properties, as well as completing acquisitions of assets in areas with very high barrier entry markets. Prior to establishing Washington Development Company and Capital Asset Management & Investments, Mr. Shah served Carr Hospitality as President . Mr. Shah established an asset management and real estate development platform for Carr Hospitality and Carr City Center. The three notable hotel/commercial real estate acquisitions completed by Mr. Shah at Carr Hospitality and Carr City Center included, one of which is the site for the Hilton Garden Inn of Old Town Alexandria, near the King Street Metro., surrounded by strong demand generators such as the Patent and Trademark Office. The second acquisition is the boutique hotel site on Union Street on the waterfront of Old Town Alexandria, VA. This is a historical site and was acquired in a very high barrier to entry market. The third acquisition was of the Wharf mixed use project at the Southwest Waterfront area of Washington, D.C. His brand affiliates include Le Meridian, Hilton, IHG, Marriott, ITT Sheraton and Omni. During his career, he has been involved in all aspects of the hospitality industry. He held positions in all departments from Department heads, GM, Regional Vice President, Vice President and President.
