A position holder and a prominent extra and co-curricular activist, I always strive to learn and polish and hone my skills. I did my ACCA at the age of eighteen and moved on towards chartered accountancy where I got the chance to do articles in KPMG Taseer Hadi. Having spent my mandatory training period and learnt a lot from this experience, I moved on to BDO Bahrain where yet again, I got to work with seasoned professionals and expanded my horizons. In addition to my academic achievements, I am a team player with strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. With my ability to illustrate my point of view, whether in a presentation or in a meeting I can communicate effectively. Moreover, listening skills come naturally to me and I have a particular knack for grabbing out the focal points and string them together.
Multifaceted role involving direct responsibilities for salary processing, budget monitoring and compliance, recording import shipments in liaison with the supply. chain department and closing process.
This was an opportunity in the Bahrain office of BDO and my job responsibilities included working on the finanacial statement areas, drafting annual accounts and proposing appropriate reports to be issued in the particular circumstances of the client. I was also expected to clear review points from manager and partner level and to manage stakeholder expectations.
This was my mandatory training period for a period of 3.5 years. I joined as an extenal audit associate and got promoted to semi senior then to the senior associate position. During this period, I participated in audit emgagements for a broad spectrum of clients and executed fieldwork, drafted audit reports, completed audit documentation, coached junior colleagues and used my technical knowledge and professional experience for the purpose of carrying out audits efficiently and effectively.
