During my postdoctoral research at the Université de Montréal, I led and contributed to innovative studies investigating: • PCSK9 in Testicular Function and Cholesterol Homeostasis: Revealing PCSK9’s role in cholesterol regulation, immune tolerance, and metabolic responses in testis and hypophysis using transgenic and diabetic mouse models. My work demonstrated how PCSK9 deficiency impacts cholesterol synthesis, immune cell infiltration, and insulin regulation in testicular tissues. • Insulin and Glucose Dynamics in Type 2 Diabetes: Exploring the interplay between insulin signaling and glucose metabolism in diabetic and obese mice, emphasizing alterations in insulin receptor subunits and their implications for infertility in reproductive-age populations. • Connexin Interdependence in Glucose and Insulin Regulation: Investigating how connexins (Cx30.2, Cx43, Cx46, Cx50) regulate gap junction-mediated glucose exchange and insulin receptor activity in testis and anterior pituitary, revealing key insights into connexin-driven metabolic processes in diabetic models. My findings have been published in high-impact journals and presented at international conferences. These studies contribute to a better understanding of metabolic disorders and their implications for reproductive and endocrine health.
