When taking this role on as Adult and Pediatric Dermatology Clinic Charge, the following tasks were added on: -weekly schedule preparation -added Ortho/Plastics/Surgery to Monthly Survey & Safety Champion Rounding -meetings and check ins with the MUSC supply chain team to ensure up to date PARs for both Dermatology Clinics -train any new staff members -weekly and monthly check ins with our Clinic Specialty Managers -coordinate with the Doctors, Residents and staff to ensure all clinic needs are met and flow is supportive to a positive and productive work environment -attend to any tasks/projects that come up daily/weekly/monthly
-Supports physicians in providing efficient and well rounded care to patients -Assists physicians with minor procedures including biopsies, obtaining bacterial/viral cultures and excisions -Administers Phototherapy and Photodynamic Therapy to patients -Provides skin care treatments per orders-including but not limited to wound care dressings and medication injections -Works cohesively with the nursing team to ensure all med refills are fulfilled, incoming and outgoing patient messages are answered and insurance bills are properly submitted -Monthly Survey & Safety Champion for Adult Dermatology, Pediatric Dermatology and ENT
-Serves as the Charge Nurse ensuring patients meet necessary standards for safe procedures while day to day cases occur in a timely manner -Assists the Clinic Manager to verify monthly quotas are met, all supplies are ordered and stocked -Prepares and details each weekly schedule for a regimented and organized work week -Prepares medical equipment to aid physician during examination and treatment of patients -Administers intravenous moderate anesthetics to patients undergoing minimally invasive procedures such as PAD's, UFE's, Fistulograms and Vein Procedures
