Have full responsibility to trade corn in the company on the international markets which includes analysing the markets regularly, preparing trading plans and strategies, acquiring new clients, increase sales and market share in new markets. Apart from the EU also actively trade the Ukrainian and the Serbian markets. Presently trading the accounts of the International Commodity Exchanges like Matif and CBoT on a daily basis. The work also includes active hedging, premium and spread trade as well as options. Also active in sourcing oilseeds and grain in the EU like barley, wheat, oats, rapeseed and sunseed from the Czech Republic, Poland, Croatia and Hungary to Germany and Austria.
Based in Budapest started up an office for Gavilon to originate and trade commodities from the region. Was also involved in the development of fertiliser sales and logistics from Russia to Serbia.
Worked under a fixed project contract in Prague to set up a trading office in the Czech Republic. Main responsibilities include the origination of grain and oilseeds, developing the team for trading and logistics, to penetrate the market and find suitable logistics. Amongst others crush margin calculation and develop the supply of rapeseed to the oil factory in Usty nad Labem.
Worked as the general manager of the Hungarian branch of an international grain trading company, Cefetra B.V.. Gained full overview and knowledge of the Hungarian agricultural scenario including grain production and compound feed industry. Have established the company’s Hungarian operation and developed the trade activity in Hungary and the neighbouring countries. like Serbia, Slovakia etc. Main activities were creating company strategies to expand market share in origination of grain and oilseeds, marketing of soybean meal to end users such as feed mills. Development of relevant logistics and forwarding activities by river transport, train and truck. Preparation of business plans, short term and long term strategies for the Board. Was responsible for financial reporting as well. Established a solid market presence for a completely new company on the Hungarian market, developed the origination and sales in the neighbouring countries, reached about 100 million EUR turnover and 600.000 tons in 2010.
