As a Human Resources Professional, I have applied my skills and knowledge in market analysis, equity review, HRIS, and contract negotiation to support the compensation, benefits, and retirement policies for over 25,000 employees. I contributed to the implementation of high-capacity compensation software, the processing of HRIS requirements, and the onboarding, training, and hiring of HR staff. I also led change management and quality improvement projects at both the global and departmental levels, ensuring compliance and alignment with the organizational goals and values. Lead the development and maintenance of US & Canadian salary structures, pay bands, and job levels, ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness Develop & communicate clear compensation policies, guidelines, and tools for employees and managers Ensure compliance with pay-related laws and regulations, including FLSA classification, pay equity, and emerging pay transparency requirements in applicable states Track and maintain budgets for all one-off compensation items, sign-on bonus, spot bonuses, relocation agreements, off cycle increases. Implement, administer and communicate benefit programs, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary programs, FSA, EAP, COBRA, 401(k), leave of absence, paid time off, etc. Manage benefit vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators, ensuring service level agreements and employee experience standards are met. Drive continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency, automation, and an engaging employee experience. Prepare materials and conduct presentations regarding benefit changes, open enrollment, and new employee orientations. Processes monthly billings from insurance providers. Identifies, manages and resolves errors resulting from benefit administration, HRIS system and enrollment processes. Ensure compliance with all federal programs (Provincial in Canada) such as HIPAA, COBRA, Health Care Reform, etc. Conduct internal audits related to benefits, classifications, etc.; prepare information for external audits as needed. Oversee US and Canadian retirement plan administration including compliance activities, participant communication, due diligence, and fund monitoring. • Conducts research, analysis, design, and implementation of compensation programs and policies for base pay compensation to meet Cascadia’s compensation and retention objectives and needs. • Completes salary surveys and analyze compensation data; evaluates external competitiveness of Cascadia’s compensation program. Analyzes performance against market and presents recommendations to the Chief of People & Culture. • Develop cost estimates for increases and various compensation initiatives. • Propose compensation initiatives and design incentive plans. • Prepare, maintain, and update Cascadia’s salary schedule. • Conduct job analyses and prepare job descriptions for all positions within the organization, as needed. • Prepares and maintains job description for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents. • Partner with Cascadia’s recruitment team; review and approve job offers. • Evaluates and recommends new positions and placement on the salary schedule. Partner with Employee & Labor Relations Director when there is a recommendation surrounding a union represented position. • Conducts data and cost analyses for use in union negotiations. • Assess jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range. • Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position. • Assist and perform special compensation projects, management studies, develop recommendations, and implement solutions. • Participate on Cascadia committee(s) as needed to provide compensation support. • Perform other duties as assigned.
