5 seasons as a seasonal beach lifeguard, working beaches located on the South Wales coast. Leading teams of up to 8 people, of all different abilities. Situated on the coast, and rotating through different beaches within the area, each posed with their own dangers. This role required constant risk assessments of the environment and conditions to allow a safe lifeguarding service to be provided to the public. As a senior lifeguard, my role was to brief the team o every morning on the current and foreseeable hazards for the day, and to determine the plan to mitigate the risks. This required me as a senior lifeguard to take command of the incidents, and allocate my resources as required to save lives.
