The best technology decisions I've made had very little to do with technology. They were about people, trust and timing. My career started in hands-on operational roles. Over time I moved into enterprise architecture, IT leadership and executive management, including Head of IT and CEO responsibilities, while still knowing the technology well enough to step in myself when it matters. That path gave me something many IT leaders miss: a full view of how organisations actually run. Not just the technology, but the governance, the risk, the organisational dynamics and the reality of daily operations. Over the years I've learned that technology only creates value when teams feel clarity and ownership. I lead with a people‑first mindset, focusing on trust and alignment rather than adding more process. I tend to be most useful in environments that are a bit messy or where clarity has slipped away. I like bringing order to that. Not for the sake of order, but because clarity is what allows organisations to move faster and perform better. One thing I’ve learned is that clear mandate accelerates progress. When the mandate is right, you can fix almost anything. When it isn’t, even strong teams lose momentum. I pay close attention to that now, because it is the difference between progress and frustration. My style is direct and pragmatic. I believe in accountability, clear communication and teams that understand the business they support. Complex environments don't need more complexity. They need clarity and leadership that reduces noise instead of adding to it. I’m comfortable leading teams, managing budgets and taking operational responsibility, while staying hands‑on enough to keep execution moving when needed. What drives me are roles where IT and cybersecurity are treated as core parts of the business, not as support functions. Especially in non-IT organisations, that shift in perspective changes everything. It strengthens resilience, improves decision-making and creates long-term value. I focus on combining vision, strategy and execution in environments that need clarity and leadership (regardless of the formal title attached to the role). A few principles I always come back to: - Impact over power - Governance over ego - Substance over theatre If your IT landscape is slowing the business down or if you are dealing with growth, complexity or a turnaround, we will probably have a good conversation.
Leveraging my background in IT leadership and corporate transformation, I act as a strategic advisor and enterprise architect to drive sustainable business value. I partner with senior and executive stakeholders to translate complex strategic objectives into pragmatic, scalable architectures. Bringing clarity into environments that have grown organically over time is where I add most value by reshaping fragmented landscapes into actionable roadmaps that the business can rely on. The objective is never to produce theoretical models, but to co-create structures that support real world decision making. The application of CGEIT based governance serves as a practical enabler for teams. By establishing clear boundaries and predictable processes, this approach helps create the trust and operational stability needed for faster execution and tighter alignment across the organisation. Close collaboration with executives allows me to reconnect business, operations and technology. This means shifting conversations from systems and projects to outcomes, resilience and long term value, ensuring that architecture becomes a strategic instrument rather than a technical exercise. In complex enterprise environments, I act as a bridge to reduce noise. By navigating competing priorities and corporate dynamics, I help secure the mandate required for architecture, cybersecurity and transformation initiatives to actually land and deliver value.
