As a volunteer, I head out on a side-by-side tandem (duobike) with a guest who can no longer cycle independently due to physical or cognitive limitations. It’s not just about the exercise and the fresh air; it’s about the connection, the stories, and making sure everyone can keep enjoying the freedom of a bike ride. There’s no better way to spend a couple of hours pedaling together and seeing the world from a different perspective. Seeing my pedal guest smile means the world.
Zimmer Biomet is a global leader in musculoskeletal healthcare. Zimmer Biomet designs, manufactures and markets orthopedic reconstructive products like Knee- and hip implants. In June 2015 Zimmer acquired Biomet which resulted in the new combined company called Zimmer Biomet. The global organization has around 20.000 employees and $7 billion revenue. • Part of the European Management Team; • Reporting to the VP HR EMEA and dotted line to the VP Spine EMEA; • Responsible for strategic and operational HR related issues covering the EMEA region. This includes, European Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition & Retention, Succession planning, Performance Management, Training coordination and Employee relations; • Providing HR strategic support to management, in tactical-, policy- and employee related situations; • Leading & facilitating key change initiatives with regards to employees, organization and processes; • Working with management on solving employee relations issues; individual coaching and mediating and driving performance management actions; • HR integration lead for during the integration of LDR Medical, a French spine company bought by Zimmer Biomet in July 2016. This includes alignment of different processes, procedures, systems, legal entity mergers, negotiations with local works councils, aligning compensation & benefits, cultural awareness etc.
