My work focussed on the developemt of digital biomarkers of cognitive decline in Parkinson's disease. More specifically, I developed a method to quantify the dynamics of functional connectivity in EEG. Furthermore, I assist in the supervision of several Phd students and have extensive experience in working in multidiciplinary teams.

My research focused on the detection of epileptic seizures and brain activity asymmetries using EEG. This involves the analysis of large datasets (Big Data) which are used to develop and test new algorithms. Among these algorithms are Support Vector Machines, linear (kernel) discriminant analysis and novelty detection. The main challenge is to tailor these "off the shelve techniques" to a specific field of application.
