I am a serial entrepreneur who has founded successful venture-backed technology companies. I have raised investment from venture capital and government sources to start and drive fast growth, profitable businesses. I've been recognized by EY as finalist for their Entrepreneur of the Year award, and Deloitte for Solido being among the fastest technology growth companies. I am currently Siemens EDA Senior Vice President and GM of Solido Custom IC Division and Chief AI Strategy Officer. Siemens EDA provides enterprise software used for electronic chip design. Following Siemens' acquisition of Solido, I am leading the growth of Solido artificial intelligence-enabled products for variation-aware custom IC design, library characterization, IP validation, simulation, schematic capture, layout and central AI. In 2005, I founded and became President & CEO of Solido Design Automation, which is now the leading supplier of artificial intelligence-based enterprise software used by the world's top semiconductor companies to improve profitability by reducing electronic chip failures due to manufacturing variation while improving performance. Solido's software is used to make the chips in most modern day electronic devices including smartphones, tablets, laptops, computers, TV's and cars. Solido's market leadership led to a successful acquisition by Siemens in 2017.In 1999, I founded and became President & CEO of Analog Design Automation, an enterprise software supplier to semiconductor companies for the automation of analog circuit design. Analog Design Automation's product leadership led to a successful acquisition by Synopsys in 2004.I have served on the boards of Solido, Analog Design, Clevor Technologies, Electronic System Design Alliance, and National Research Council IRAP, have been Advisor to Drill-Tek and Adjunct Professor & Executive in Residence at the University of Saskatchewan. I have given many talks on technology entrepreneurship, and mentor entrepreneurs at various stages of growth.Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, I was product manager for the wireless group at Nortel and a hardware engineer for the RF communications group at Harris Corp. I graduated with degrees in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with Great Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan. I was awarded the President's First and Best scholarship, the best engineering design project award, and outstanding alumni award for significant accomplishments since graduation.
