As Director of Compliance and Ethics I have the following responsibilities: ° Creation, implementation, and day-to-day management of the compliance program at all banners and operating companies. ° Develop and maintain written procedures for the implementation, management, and documentation of the compliance program. ° Establish group-wide system for tracking compliance allegations and for monitoring investigations. ° Regularly review compliance investigations and monitor effectiveness of investigative efforts. ° Develop specific training plan and course curriculum for compliance training. ° Monitor industry, legislative and regulatory developments related to our business and develop and implement appropriate initiatives to ensure continued compliance. ° Identify metrics by which compliance program effectiveness can be evaluated and establish procedures by which those metrics are tracked end reported. ° Integrate compliance and ethics messages into company associate communications; provide updates on key topics, ensure that employees receive ample communication pertaining to compliance and ethics. ° Define adequate resources (including headcount and budget). ° Investigate best practices of compliance and ethics metrics. ° Interact with business units and foster the relationship. ° Ensure that employees certify their compliance with all company policies. ° Conduct periodic surveys to assess compliance and ethics culture.
