Migrating legacy on-premise .NET applications to cloud-native Azure architecture for a major Belgian insurance group. Responsibilities include defining the target architecture, migration roadmap, and implementation standards across a suite of back-office applications — covering Azure infrastructure design, application modernisation, and security compliance.
Integration between Stripe payment provider and B2C web shop; ERP integration; application maintenance and support. Reworked a legacy application to current Amazon APIs and introduced a system-wide log management solution.

Migrated a .NET back-office application from a multi-data-centre on-premise setup to a redundant Azure cloud environment for a Belgian public sector client (ITLB). Designed the full Azure infrastructure (VMs, WAF, SDN, AAD, Key Vault, Application Insights), led stakeholder coordination across internal teams and vendors, and identified and resolved all application-level changes required to meet Azure security and compliance requirements — including a full SQL Server Always Encrypted transformation.
Designed and delivered a fully automated online ordering and payment channel for a government-facing application — integrating an online payment provider, Belgian eID (CSAM) authentication, and accounting, supplier, and government interfaces. Passed an independent third-party security audit with no critical findings. Also led the upgrade of the core .NET application to a new generation architecture and a full SQL Server database migration.
Long-term engagement at ING covering solution architecture, application design, development, and security work across internal middleware platforms and supporting web applications. Key deliverables: management console for a distributed middleware platform, technology refresh of a high-security intranet application, migration toolkit for automated BDS repository migration, and a complete UX overhaul of an internal web application. Also produced technical security assessments for the client.
10-year engagement at Mobistar (now Orange Belgium) covering the full lifecycle of a prepaid customer platform — architecture, design, development, deployment, and ongoing technical management. Delivered a platform managing prepaid promotions, customer portlets, and partner web services. Later designed and implemented JCA connectors and REST/SOAP web services integrating prepaid backend systems with customer contact applications. Also contributed to pre-sales activities and Oracle database performance tuning.
Short engagement covering project planning, process analysis, and system architecture for a Belgacom telecoms project.
Led the development team building a call centre UI application connecting to legacy Belgacom backend systems. Responsible for technical and functional application design, end-user communication, and planning and follow-up.
