I am one of those lucky people who look forward to Monday mornings! Every day is another opportunity to guide the Bachelor of Project Management (Honours) and it's 300 or so students through the academic year from orientation to graduation and through the transition to full time project roles. I also lecture and I am constantly talking to industry and experimenting with different ways of teaching and learning. My research interest is in PM careers and commitment; current projects are investigating the employability of our students, and the commitment of volunteers during a project's lifecycle. I am also a co-founder of Project Management 4 Life (PM4L), a group of project professionals who run PM workshops for high schools around Melbourne and I am involved in multiple community projects.
At RMIT University in Melbourne I manage the Bachelor of Applied Science (Project Management) (Honours). I also deliver courses relating to professional practice and career management, and our capstone course. I am currently supervising 1 PhD candidate and I am conducting research to understand volunteer commitment to a project, and also to establish the nature of perceived employability of our project management students.
Wyn Professional Development is the vehicle through which I consult with organisations wishing to improve their employee development.
