About

With more than 30 years of international experience at the intersection of technology, academia, and corporate strategy, I serve as a bridge between complex engineering and high-level business execution. As Vice Dean of External Relations at IE School of Science and Technology, my mission is to align academic excellence with global industry needs, driving strategic growth and amplifying our school’s impact worldwide. My career is built on a rare "polymath" profile. I am a Telecommunications Engineer with an MBA and two PhDs—one in Engineering and another in Applied Economics. This rigorous background allows me to navigate the technical "how" and the economic "why" with equal fluency. For over 23 years at IE University, I have contributed as Adjunct Faculty and Academic Director, shaping programs in Digital Strategy, Data Analysis, or Economic Impact. I don’t just teach strategy; I implement it. My corporate journey includes, national impact positions, leading the "Google Activate" initiative, a massive project that boosted national employability through digital skills training for thousands of professionals; Executive Management, serving as General Manager and Director across diverse sectors, including the entertainment and digital services industries; Entrepreneurship & Advisory, leveraging my expertise in decision-making and strategy implementation to help organizations navigate digital disruption and scale effectively. In a world of rapid change, I believe the most valuable asset is the ability to connect disparate dots—between technology and humanity, and between theory and practice. This philosophy extends to my work as a prolific author and speaker, where I explore topics ranging from digital business models, media, entrepreneurship or Stoic philosophy, always seeking to foster innovation and excellence. Core Competencies: Strategic Partnerships & External Relations Digital Transformation & Strategy Implementation Academic Leadership & Program Development Data Analysis & Applied Economics Executive Coaching & Public Speaking I am always looking to connect with industry leaders, fellow academics, and innovators who are passionate about the future of science, technology, and education.
