Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain
Part of the Sustainability Department’s Shore Power team. Focused on bridging the gap between high-voltage electrical infrastructure (Onshore Power Supply - OPS) and economic operability. Key Responsibilities & Achievements: · System Architecture & Development: Designed and deployed a custom Information Management System (IMS) using Python and Streamlit to automate the financial and operational management of the port's high-voltage shore connection services. · Energy Market Analytics: Integrated high-frequency smart meter telemetry with real-time wholesale electricity market prices via the OMIE API. Mathematically modeled the complex Spanish 6.1TD high-voltage tariff to dynamically forecast OPEX and optimize energy purchasing. · Automated Auditing & Strategy: Built an automated PDF-scraping module using PyPDF2 to cross-reference utility invoices with internal telemetry, effectively preventing revenue leakage. Generated dynamic economic balances comparing OPS grid costs against onboard Marine Gas Oil (MGO) generation to validate service competitiveness for shipping lines. · Research & Publication: Authored and successfully published the scientific paper "Digitalisation of Onshore Power Supply: A Data-Driven Management Tool for the Port of Barcelona" based on the implemented IMS system. Tech Stack & Standards: Python, Pandas, Streamlit, Plotly, PyPDF2, REST APIs, IEC/ISO/IEEE 80005-1.
Project Operations with the Talent Nest Program. Developed various programs in python for the automation of manual processes and web application programming for internal company use.
