I am working on bringing mobile broadband connectivity everywhere in Europe and beyond.
I identified opportunities to improve connectivity worldwide through cooperation with governments and partners. I design spectrum regulations enabling the next generation of internet devices. I secured spectrum resources to enable the launch and long term product roadmap of innovative products such as Augmented and Virtual Reality headsets and smart glasses like the Ray-Ban Meta glasses. In particular, I contributed to open the 5945-6425 MHz band in Europe to next generation Wi-Fi devices, from ECC to ETSI. I joined force with administrations to investigate of the most efficient use of the 6425-7125 MHz band.
I joined Airbus Defence and Space in 2018, I was tasked to spearhead definition and implementation of Airbus strategy to secure regulatory approval and spectrum access for the growth of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and UAS Traffic Management (UTM). I led company to undertake smart business decisions about future urban mobility solutions. I conceptualized, designed and developed a spectrum regulatory framework for UAS and UTM. I identified essential requirements and partnerships to increase market acceptance of innovative products. I drove innovation across company through introduction and dissemination of paradigm changing technology and concepts. I modified the market access strategy to minimise risk and maximise opportunities. Some of my accomplishments from this position: ✪ Strategized lobbying plan demonstrating net social benefits to influence spectrum management community and to achieve specific regulatory goals. ✪ Defined and executed strategy for the ITU-R World Radio Conference 2023.
I analysed and identified best value-added proposition for end users while accounting for economic, regulatory, and technical constraints. I developed and deployed Qualcomm’s strategy to launch innovative technologies commercially through identification of business case, definition of technology requirements, coalition building, ecosystem stimulation and regulatory shaping. I collaborated with companies across the value chain to create momentum and support specific solutions. I secured and harmonised a favourable regulatory and legal framework at international (ITU) and EU level along with Member States. I oversaw coordination of 4 governmental affair experts and 20+ experts in R&D, standardisation, and business development. Initiated/created the most influential spectrum lobbying group for the mobile vendor industry (GSA). Chaired international spectrum negotiation working group. Key Assignments: ✪ 5G: - Accelerated introduction of 5G at EU level and identified key 5G drivers. - Pinpointed critical value-adding technical challenges along with identification of focus areas, development of action plan for each vertical service. - Commissioned economic studies, triggered think tank round tables and trained stakeholders to influence framework of the discussion. - Redefined strategy related to Intellectual Property Rights to align with 5G business requirements. - Influenced EU 5G agenda, aligned on vertical services and investment. ✪ EU Digital Policy - Contributed to plateforme regulation and data portability debates. - Initiated concept of terminal neutrality. ✪ L-band (1427-1517 MHz band) - Introduced innovative mobile broadband solutions in 1427-1517 MHz band, resulting in €500M gain to redefinition and resale of spectrum access rights. - Achieved adoption of ECC decision to harmonise band for mobile broadband through definition of regulatory frameworks and technical conditions of operation in band.
