Contributed as a jury member for the final engineering degree examinations (Institute of Automotive Engineering), evaluating candidates' technical and scientific competencies. A recognition of expertise and a commitment to the Czech industrial-academic-scientific community.
The "Renรฉ Gras" prize was created in 1952 by GAMI (Group for the Advancement of Industrial Mechanics) at the ISMCM (now Supmรฉca) to reward the best research project by a student during their studies on a current topic in industry. It recognizes the scientific, technical, innovative, organizational, or environmental value of the final-year project and internship report. Renรฉ Gras graduated from CESTI (Supmรฉca) in 1964 and held a doctorate in physical sciences from Pierre and Marie Curie University Paris VI. He dedicated his life to research and tribology, of which he was a leading figure in France. A professor at ISAE-Supmรฉca, he led the school's tribology group for many years.
