From the moment I could grasp the thrill of the automotive world, I knew exactly where my future lay: engineering. My childhood dream was to work at GM, the creators of my aspiration—the Corvette. That dream became a reality, and I found myself immersed in a fast-paced environment, contributing to projects across LatAm. Every challenge, every innovation fueled my passion, making those years unforgettable. I didn’t anticipate a hidden legacy from my father. Growing up, I saw his finance career as dull, but I had inherited his knack for numbers and strategy. After 8 exhilarating years in the automotive industry, I was offered an opportunity by Linde Gas to step into the world of finance as a Controller. My engineering background, rich in cost management, budgeting, and operational excellence, made the transition surprisingly exciting. Suddenly, I was responsible for 26 plants across 8 countries, streamlining operations, optimizing investments, and driving best practices. It was the blend of precision engineering and financial acumen. Then came another pivotal moment, thanks to Albert Tuteleers, a mentor and game-changer in my career. He introduced me to Fresenius Medical Care, a leader in renal care with a legacy dating back to 1462. As their Controller, I navigated the world of pharma and healthcare, leading projects in cost efficiency and investment strategy. However, when Fresenius relocated to Rio, it wasn’t the right time for my family. Fortunately, another exciting chapter awaited me at Pitney Bowes, where I became CFO for LATAM, diving deep into the tech-driven world of capital equipment and printing solutions. The boldest chapter of my journey was yet to come. Albert presented me with a life-altering proposal: to take over his portfolio and establish an Alexander Hughes branch for S. America. Though daunting, the opportunity was too extraordinary to pass up. Since 2017, we’ve built a thriving executive search practice, helping companies find their perfect fit. This human-centered role has been a revelation. It's rewarding, blending my analytical expertise with the art of understanding people and their potential. Life has been kind in more ways than one. On my 40th birthday, my incredible wife surprised me with the car that set this journey in motion—a Corvette, my daily companion. When I’m not embracing vintage car culture, you’ll find me savoring wines, hitting the tennis court, or cherishing time with my three wonderful children. Life is a beautiful blend of passion, perseverance, and the people who make it worth the ride.
