• Invented and developed fully automated nucleic acid extraction technology for (FFPE) formal-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue samples (VERSANT® Tissue Preparation kit and Tissue Preparation System) • Built strategic collaborations with international cancer study groups, universities, and clinical partners to recruit archived FFPE samples with clinical records in breast cancer research. • Invited speaker and representer of Siemens Molecular R&D at global scientific and customer events.
• Invented and developed core molecular nucleic acid extraction technology based on silica coated magnetic beads and fully automated IVD extraction workflows (VERSANT® IVD extraction kits on kPCR platform). • Co-invented assays for oncology and liver fibrosis diagnostics (EndoPredict® Breast Cancer Prognosis assay and ELF® = Enhanced Liver Fibrosis test). • Lead inventor on multiple patents and author of peer-reviewed publications.
