About

20 years of professional experience in digital media, communications, outreach and information technology As Chief of the Communication Section in the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) for the past 3 years, I have been responsible to promote the economic, social and sustainable development agenda through online communication, outreach, social media and multimedia productions. I oversee the development of DESA’s web presence with latest information in 6 UN languages, manage the issuance of DESA’s monthly newsletter, enhance DESA’s social media presence with online chats and ensure the production of multimedia content on major topics in the development area. Before my current position, I was Acting Chief and Systems Analyst in the Communications and Information Management Service in DESA for about 6 years. I supported DESA managers and staff in the execution of their functions by providing a leadership role in online communication, knowledge management, application of technology and electronic technical cooperation. During my 8 years of employment with UN-HABITAT, I was responsible for the design, development and management of the UN-HABITAT website. From my educational background, I hold a Master’s Degree in Information Science for Business Administration from the University of Vienna. I am a team player and enjoy working with people in a multi-cultural environment. In addition, I have many years of experience in supervising and mentoring groups of staff in the communication and information technology area.
