About

Hej! I'm an Android engineer at Volvo Cars, working in the Developer Experience team. In this role, I have been working on improving the app's build times, the CI checks’ quality and speed, automating code ownership processes, and refining development workflows. Our team also works on observability (using Open Telemetry and Elastic), crash reporting (with Firebase Crashlytics and Sentry), translations, and app startup/authentication. This work has allowed me to deep dive into several areas, particularly Gradle, convention plugins, Develocity, and GitHub Actions. I very much enjoy discussing solutions with my team mates, sharing knowledge in sessions with the entire app team, and coming up with new ideas to make development easier and more effective, in the end leading to a higher quality of the app. I'm from Germany and moved to Sweden for my Master's degree in "Software Engineering and Management" at the University of Gothenburg. I love music and sports, playing saxophone and beach volleyball. I like organising events and was also a coach at my sports club in Germany.

I worked for a project that had the task to develop a Java application for managing "Komposit" insurances (property and casualty insurances) and to unify the process for all products. It was an agile development process with a wide range of tasks. For example, I was involved in the design of software modules, the computation of accounting records, batch processing and the training of new employees and students. I also worked a lot on enhancing and facilitating the automatic software tests. Moreover, I had the chance to attend conferences and seminars like the Java conference JAX and a clean coding seminar.
