Greta is experienced in California education, nonprofit, and public agency law. She represents charter schools and innovators in education. Greta also provides counsel to other nonprofits, local government organizations, licensed childcare providers, higher education institutions, and individuals. For charter schools, Greta advises on operational, funding, oversight, and regulatory issues. These range from governance issues and school policies, to student issues and authorizer relations. Greta counsels schools through charter renewals, opening new schools, appeals, and school partnerships of all kinds. She provides advice and trainings on the changing laws that affect charter schools, Brown Act compliance and public records, avoiding conflicts of interest, credentialing, special education, and more. Greta is experienced in litigation and administrative proceedings of many types. She counsels a range of clients on thorny governance and regulatory issues. For schools, she is a regular presenter at conferences and workshops hosted by the California Charter Schools Association, Charter Schools Development Center, and National Alliance for Public Charter Schools. She serves as a member of the NAPCS’ National Litigation Council, and has presented at the County Counsel’s Association of California on ethical issues for the public lawyer. Greta is actively engaged in education issues and policy.
