About

Over the last ten years I have been very fortunate to be involved in a variety of roles, all of which, have revolved around professional photography and content creation. I got my start in the industry as the manager of photography at 1871, the epicenter of Chicago's startup ecosystem. Thrown into the deep end, I covered about 1,000 events a year for 1871, in addition to work directly with 1871 and it's companies to tell their story. My strategic partnership with 1871 enabled me to be a resource to the early stage start-ups that were a part of the community. In the spirit of wanting to push myself further as a business person an opportunity opened up to join TagPrints, an experiential production company that specialized in building interactive photography experiences for brands, agencies and events. Brought on as the Director of Photography, I built out a small local studio arm to the business while consulting on all custom projects for TagPrints. When the chance came to join TagPrints' sales team, I stared as a BDR and quickly moved up to a BDM. Of course, 2020 comes around and the pandemic heavily impacted the events world, I get furloughed blah blah. While I waited for life to return to normal, I went back to my roots in hospitality, managing at three of Chicago's top dining destinations. In late 2022, knowing restaurants were not my forever and realizing I had enough runway, I launched my personal photography brand, Greg Rothstein. Greg Rothstein is a white glove photography service specializes in creating engaging, relatable, high quality professional images for corporate events, brand activations, small businesses and entrepreneurs. Greg is also available as a photo assistant and second photographer
