Responsible for launching and integrating new global medical capabilities into Amgen's rare disease therapeutic area. Mandate to hire and onboard approximately 10 medical/clinical scientists. Oversight responsibilities for medical deliverables, budget, and people. Strategic member of Therapeutic Area Governance team and technical/strategic contributor buisiness development forums.
Oversight for medical teams (all therapeutic areas) across Europe, Latin America, Middle East, Africa, Canada (ELMAC Region) based in Risch-Rotkreuz, Switzerland. Management responsibilities for 9 Country/Regional Executive Medical Directors overseeing medical affairs activities in 33 country affiliates worldwide (and over 600 medical employees).
Therapeutic Area Head with oversight and accountability for Hematology/Oncology portfolio (2017+) and Bone portfolio (2019+). Successful Sotorasib US registration 2021. Includes 10 marketed product teams, 6 pipeline program teams, and 45 physicians/scientists.
Full-time faculty position with clinical responsibility in GI, Gyn, and Phase 1 Oncology Clinics.
