Gregor is a Banker and Consultant with a diverse background in Wealth Management, Asset Management, Corporate & Investment Banking as well as Compliance across the business lines. After spending 2 decades working in the Financial Services industry, Gregor knows what truly drives Strategy Development, Innovation/Digital Business Transformation, Organisational Design/Target Operating Models and Business Process Reengineering/Lean Process Management. Gregor has intensively worked with a multitude of FinTech start-ups over the last couple of years and has actively participated in the Singapore Fintech Festival in the years 2018, 2017 and 2016 as well as the IMAS (Investment Management Association of Singapore) Hackcelerator in 2019. Bringing together his passion in food and the knowledge about Management and Technology, Gregor founded his first start-up in 2019 to pursue an idea that is innovative and will fire up the passion in food amongst many. In parallel, Gregor remains in the field of Consulting to leverage on his significant experience and network in the Financial Services industry in Asia.

KPMG Singapore’s Advisory practice mainly covers ASEAN but is also engaged outside the region on a regular basis. The role of Principal Advisor encompassed sales and delivery of engagements in the Financial Services industry in ASEAN, covering multiple key accounts, developing key propositions in the Compliance and Wealth Management space as well as Collaborating with FinTech and RegTech startups. Additional responsibilities encompassed performance management, recruiting and training for the Financial Services team.
The bank’s scope in Asia is corporate and investment banking in 4 locations: Singapore, Mainland China (3 branches at that time), Hong Kong and Japan. The role of Regional Head of Compliance encompassed the management of the compliance function in Asia (4 direct reports leading a team of altogether 15 employees) as well as ensuring Compliance coverage (Advice, Monitoring, Special Investigations) for all divisions. The Reginal Head of Compliance was member of the regional board and directly reporting into the global head of compliance who in turn directly reported into the group board.
Commerzbank South East Asia focussed on wealth management mainly for European and Asian clients domiciled in Asia. The Chief Operating Officer role encompassed managing Finance, Compliance, Middle Office, Back Office, IT and Organisation overseeing approximately 30 FTE. The Chief Operating Officer also acted as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and was member of the board of the company.
The subsidiary of Commerzbank with approx. 100 employees (thereof 85 consultants) focusses on management consulting exclusively for Commerzbank Group. The role encompassed project management in bank and division wide projects, manage the performance of 6 consultants as well as to contribute to the development of the company (new hires, structural improvements, building up of new competencies and knowledge).
