      Mr. Schmidt was the sector vice president and general manager of the Northrop Grumman Corporation’s Technology Services Sector’s Mission Solutions and Readiness Division until his retirement in 2016. In that role, he also served as the Chairman of the Board of Managers for the National Security Technologies, LLC in Las Vegas Nevada. Mr. Schmidt has more than 34 years of knowledge and experience in engineering, production, mission assurance, and program management for defense products and services. Upon graduation from Bucknell University in 1982, he joined Northrop Grumman (formerly Westinghouse Electric Corporation) where he had numerous lead, supervisory and management roles in the Quality Assurance department. After he obtained a Master of Science degree in Technology Management from the University of Maryland University College, Mr. Schmidt led the start-up team for Land Combat Systems Operation in Huntsville, Alabama. During this period, he was responsible for the construction and establishment of a new production facility and a 15-year production program for missile guidance systems.
