“recording brains by day and hearts by night” Prior to beginning my inspiring career in neurodiagnostics, I devoted myself to sound engineering. Up to 18 channels were organized and calibrated before capturing instruments. An array of distinct microphones and preamp equipment was utilized to guarantee a present and pristine signal. Dirty power caused by ground loops was identified and eradicated. Equalizer tools including high and low pass filters were employed to attenuate differing frequencies. In the end, exceptional recordings were secured. Now I allocate my proficiency of these frequency components and tools to excel in the field of electroencephalography. The acquired knowledge gained through my education, clinical experiences and audio comprehension amalgamate. My meticulousness to balanced low-impedances is clear. Artifacts are identified, verified and when possible, eliminated. The familiarity with differing montages is discernible. My commitment for procuring the most valuable EEG recordings is apparent and my compassion for those patients I serve is obvious.
♦ Performed routine EEG, sleep deprived EEG, portable EEG, bedside prolonged EEG, ambulatory EEG, long-term monitoring hookups/baseline recordings ♦ Trained using collodion for prolonged EEG recordings ♦ Collaborated with a diverse body of disciplines, students, residents and interns throughout the hospital to assist with diagnostic accuracy
