  • Assistant Project Manager at Tishman Construction, an AECOM Company
    May 2013 - Mar 2015 · 1 yr 11 mos

To begin my career with Tishman, I started on the St. Elizabeths West Campus Project. The new US Coast Guard Headquarters is located in a portion of the St Elizabeths Hospital. There was new construction, renovation, and additions to existing buildings throughout the campus. I primarily worked on the renovation and additions to existing buildings on campus. Some of the buildings date back over 150 years so historical preservation was a significant portion of the project. My main roles included punchlist, change order review, and reviewing field work. Next, I worked on the Textile Museum at George Washington University. The project is a combination of new construction and historical renovation which includes Level 5 finishes on the walls and ceilings in the gallery spaces. My responsibilities include identifying cost and schedule impacts, obtaining and submitting pricing for change orders, reviewing submittals and RFI's, and tracking construction progress. I was the contact person for the General Contractor for LEED tracking and documentation. As the GWU Textile Museum was in the close-out process I started to work concurrently on the historical renovation of the Old Post Office in Washington, D.C. for the new Trump International Hotel. This $200 million luxury hotel houses 270 guest rooms, retail and restaurant space, a spa, and meeting rooms and event space. My role was to ensure that the historical elements of the building remain as indicated according to the historical report and contract documents. Daily site walks and conversations with the contractors keep me aware of the current and upcoming work and any impact it may have on the historical fabric of the project.

  • Construction Project Engineer at Jacobs
    Jul 2011 - May 2013 · 1 yr 11 mos

The first project I worked on with Jacobs was the DC Consolidated Forensics Lab (CFL) in Washington DC. The CFL combined the DC Public Health Lab, DC Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the DC Crime Lab into one facility. It is a 287,000 SF facility that will contain office and high-tech laboratory spaces (including BSL-3 lab space). The project obtained LEED Platinum Certification. My responsibilities included, but were not limited to, RFI's, submittals, punchlist, meeting minutes, inspecting field work, and leading tours/walkthroughs of the project. I assisted in the review of change orders and our team has successfully negotiated 20% off of the cost of all change orders submitted. My background as a personal trainer helped in the design/layout of the equipment for the fitness center. I also worked on the Kaiser Permanente Medical Office Building (MOB) in Halethorpe, Maryland. The MOB is a new hub on the south side of Baltimore, MD for Kaiser Permanente. It is a 131,000 SF facility that will contain a pharmacy, surgical center, operating rooms, medical imaging areas, exam rooms, and office space for 15 medical specialties. My responsibilities include, but are not limited to, RFI review, punchlist, inspecting field work, and change order review. I assisted in the coordination of 10,000 pieces of Owner furnished equipment and was the lead Owner representative on punchlist walks and back checks.

UDC Enterprise is a roofing and EIFS subcontractor based out of State College, PA. My duties were to estimate and assist management on roofing projects.
