Continued Clinical Leadership role with Accenture supporting delivery the Australian Digital Health agency in delivery of My Heath Record Release 24.3 Medical Conditions view. Continuing clinical lead role supporting MyHR releases: R11 Medsview enhancements added PBS and AMT interoperability, R12-13 AIR, Immunisation History, Covid Digital Certificate and Covid Dashboard access for MyHR National Consumer Portal. Clinical analytics support for Federal Vaccine dashboard and ordering system (CVAS), R14 support for consumer pathology access to Covid, Flu, Respiratory, INR and HbA1C results. R15 supporting design for introduction of atomic pathology results to MyHR, Clinical test data preparation for ADHA and partners (Chamonix, Deloitte, Health Direct).
This role provides clinical leadership to build Accenture’s healthcare business in Australia. This includes ensuring Accenture-supplied solutions meet the needs of Clinicians, are clinically safe, and that there is appropriate clinical engagement in strategic planning, development, deployment & service management. My achievements to date include: Support of Clinical Safety and Clinical Functional Assurance Testing, resulting in successful delivery of PCEHR Releases 1 - 6 and My Health Record releases 7 & 7.1 Clinical and Functional Lead for recent delivery of the Victorian Collaborative Cancer Centre's Research Information Exchange Proof of Concept, working in partnership with Oracle using their HDM, Endeca and Cohort Explorer products. This work included developing "natural language processing" capabilities to extract tumour information from unstructured clinical notes.
In collaboration with clinical/technical leaders, managed and participated in the delivery of the Medical Services functions with the Qld Blood Services Operations Unit to support the efficient, sufficient and timely production and distribution of safe blood and blood products, and ensuring the efficacy of use of Blood Service products and the effectiveness of related services. Provided leadership in Lean thinking at operating unit and national level. Delivered KPI and Clinical risk frameworks in conjunction with the Medical Services leadership team.
Project managed installations of Radiology Information System, PACS and Modality connectivity in northern queensland. The Radiology Informatics Team the Qld Premier's Award in the Health Category Ict 2009: http://www.premiers.qld.gov.au/awards-and-recognition/public-service-excel/public-sector-winners-healthy.aspx The QRiS project rollout to the Cape York and Torres Strait - Northern Peninsula Health Service Districts received a "Highly Commended" award at the 2010 QLD AIPM Project Management Achievement Awards in the category of Regional Development in part for the work I project managed at Thursday Island and Bamaga hospitals. Performed a benefits study on the QRis/PACS implementation at Gold Coast Hospital, demonstrating improved turn-around times on Radiology Reporting.
