Experienced Chief Creative Officer with over fifteen years of experience in the television industry, having started out as a live kids television show presenter, moving on to develop, series produce, deliver multiple unscripted concepts for the local and international market, as well as form part of the Leadership Team of one of the best Production Companies in Africa. I am passionate about entertainment, people, organisation and having fun.
An overall leadership role, including all editorial and production matters of all of Rapid Blue’s scripted and non-scripted productions, as well as driving new business and revenue generation.
To lead and nurture a superior Creative Development team within Rapid Blue resulting in compelling original IP, production and sales in the form of commissions, co-productions or licence deals both locally and abroad.
Responsibilities: • To provide effective leadership though the collaborative design, development and implementation of the Commercial strategy to ensure profitable and sustainable business that contributes positively to our industry while retaining existing client relationships as well as securing new business locally and globally. • Presence at international markets for networking, client relations, pitching concepts and deal closure. • Partner with the creative team to ensure that they keep abreast with the latest format and trends. • Strategise to secure distribution deals, license contracts, and manage broadcast windows in order to close deals, moving projects from Development into Production. • Solidify and form relationships with local and international broadcasters, and distributors to identify their needs and the latest trends globally.
Responsibilities: • Responsible for managing, driving & distributing the development slate of Okuhle Media. • Entails managing the entire supply chain from vetting potential concepts viability at ideation, through to written proposals and budgets, providing final QC before executive approval. • Managing the development team. • Manage the commercial activities of the slate to ensure closure of deals. Responsibilities: • Growing the company's global footprint by developing, selling and producing globally appealing content to be produced in Africa. • Creativity with an understanding of the global market being imperative. • Assisted in sourcing potential leads, ideation, the vetting of a concept’s viability and the drafting of written proposals and pitching to clientele.
