I worked with the Graduate Teaching Assistant to troubleshoot experiments, answer student questions, and maintain appropriate biosafety standards in the microbiology teaching labs. I assisted with MIBO3500L & MIBO3510L teaching labs, overseeing 50 students
I engaged in undergraduate research in the Chung Lab studying plant and microbial ecology. Using sweet sorghum and dark septate endophytes as my model organisms, I worked to further understand the relationship between plants and fungi and how their interactions alter as a result of climate change. I particularly studied how dark septate endophytes affect sweet sorghum biomass when grown in the presence of a drought. • CURO Undergraduate Research Scholar, Spring 2025 • Poster presentation at CURO Symposium, Spring 2024 & 2025 • Poster presentation at Plant Biology Undergraduate Research Symposium, Fall 2023 • Recipient of CURO Research Award, Spring 2023
