I have over 10 years of Power Plant/Power Generation maintenance and repair experience. I started a DOL 4 year apprenticeship with Colorado Springs Utilities in September of 2010. I completed the apprenticeship and obtained Journeyman status in 2014. I have knowledge in maintenance and repair of Coal Fired Power Plant equipment (Coal handling/processing, Boilers, Feed pumps, Steam Turbines/Generators, Control/safety valves, bag-houses, scrubbers etc.) I also have knowledge in maintenance and repair of Combined Cycle Power Plant equipment (Heat Recovery Steam Generators, Performance Heaters, Air Cooled Condensers, Gas turbines/Generators, Control/safety valves, etc.) I have over 3,000 hours of experience with Steam Turbine/Generator disassembly, inspection and repair. I also have 100 hours of on-the-job-training with combustion turbine borescope inspection. I have 1 year of experience in power plant maintenance supervision. From 2006 to 2009 I was employed as a Boiler Maker specializing in the construction of power plant boilers, coal handling/ash handling equipment, etc. From 1999 to 2009 I was a member of the United States Army and Army National Guard. Honorable discharged in 2009 to pursue civilian career in industrial technology/construction. I am also an Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran.
