Contracted to provide engineering support to the Airborne Equipment element of the C17 CSAE Project Team, supporting the Airborne Equipment Manager and Chief Airworthiness Engineer. Initially tasked with the initiation, development and production of a Through Life Management Plan, the review and update of the Configuration Management Plan and undertaking the Cost Benefit Analysis for a number of modifications. The role matured into providing In-Service Support for multiple Man Carrying Parachute Systems and Ancillaries. This includes the management of F760/761 and the required follow up work, drafting of SI(T)'s, processing of DO tasking, LTC meeting support and the initial investigation of reported faults. Taking the lead on various equipment procurement projects for new and modified equipment including a personal load carrying system and the RAF100 Commemorative Parachute Canopy. Required to manage In-Service occurrences and emergent engineering issues and to progress Design Organisation tasks and liaise with Users, Design Organisations and other stakeholders as required. Additionally providing support to the update of Release to Service documentation and supporting evidence packs for new equipments including the coordination of Independent Test and Analysis as required.
Contracted on a fixed term basis to provide engineering manpower support to the UK RC-135W, primary responsibilities include, Undertook the preliminary test and evaluation work required to introduce a manually operated fire suppression solution, and the implimentation of a pitot static sytem pre flight check procedure. Safety Assessment of Ground Support Equipment, hazard identification and report writing. On aircraft equipment trials and evaluation including production of trial report documentation. Aircraft spares maintenance, supportability assessment and solution implimentation. Ground Support Equipment trial, evaluation and reporting. Test equipment calibration process, initiation, development and implimentation.
