Health & Safety is a subject I thoroughly enjoy and gained all my qualifications over a period of 4-5 years progressing from agency worker to full time employee, union health & safety rep: to senior health & safety rep: to promotion into an office based environment as 1 of 2 health & safety officers and nominated competent persons on health & safety for the company. I then worked at Woodford Web as a despatch worker and in-house fork lift truck driver and 1-2 days a week in the office as their health & safety officer where I have in the past 7 years creating a system from scratch into an efficient and robust reporting system, vastly improving the health & safety of the company, and gaining the respect of my peers. I am now a commercial, agricultural and plant operator trainer training and testing personnel on a variety of machinery.

I have 9-11 years in the Health & Safety field. I have gained substantial experience in key areas such as, COSHH risk assessments, safe systems of work, Manual Handling training and risk assessments, machine guarding on multi million pound printing presses and magazine making machines, along with fork lift truck checks, in-house fork lift truck training and refreshers. I have also gained some experience of auditing for ISO 14001 as well as being an integral part in helping to write the whole process up and gain accreditation. I have been key in building a sound, firm and robust system of health and safety and reporting at Woodford Web and have gained the respect of my work colleagues and peers.I also now have a training qualification to enable me create training courses to teach and educate the workforce.
