17 years of Water Supply experience at Bristol Water in a variety of roles. Vast experience gained from working in the field through to office based activities and management positions. Proficient and knowledgeable in all aspects of the water supply cycle that includes capture, production, distribution, system designs, operational planning, costing, data interpretation, data collection, emergency management, customer interface and some aspects of regulatory planning. Good communicator and team player who is adaptable and innovative in providing solutions. Understands the importance of planning and preparation, and of internal and external communication, to achieve successful outcomes.
Responsible for planning and carrying out work associated with the repair and maintenance on the Trunk Main and Raw Water mains systems. Liaising with internal and external customers as required. The development and management of the innovative mains cleaning process “Ice Pigging” from field trials with Bristol University in AMP 4 to part of the company’s trunk main cleaning strategy in AMP 5. In 2009 Ice Pigging received the top award at The Engineer Technology and Innovation Awards in the Process and Production category.
